The Hillsborough Police Department’s National Night Out has been rescheduled for Sept. 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Mountain View Park.

The events were canceled due to the thunderstorms on Aug. 6. This will be the department’s second annual National Night Out.

“National Night Out is officially booked,” the department exclaimed in its message on social media. “… We hope to see you all there and thank you for all for understanding our need to reschedule.”

National Night Out will include township and local first responders, a K9 Demo, a helicopter landing, local food and business vendors, a dunk tank, face painting, a DJ and more.

Since 1984, National Night Out has been held on the first Tuesday in August. It is intended to forge a bond between local police and the residents they serve.
