Trenton men charged with resisting arrest

Two Trenton men were charged with shoplifting, resisting arrest and hindering apprehension after they allegedly attempted to take items from the ShopRite of Pennington Aug. 10, according to the Hopewell Township Police Department.

Police officers were dispatched to the grocery story on a report of a shoplifting-in-progress. One of the men fled, but he was located nearby, police said. He was arrested and taken to the Hopewell Township Police Department for processing.

The second man escaped. Police reviewed surveillance images and identified the man. He was apprehended later by police.
