Closures began July 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will continue daily Monday through Friday for the next several weeks, a single lane on I-295 northbound and southbound is scheduled to be closed between Route 130 and I-195/Route 29.

I-295 Overnight Lane Closures

Closures began July 9 into July 10 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. This will continue overnight Monday through Friday at the same time over the next several months, a single lane on I-295 northbound and southbound will be closed, with a second lane closed at 9 p.m. each night, between Route 130 and I-195/Route 29.

The I-295 daytime and overnight lane closures are necessary to mill and pave, as well as restripe the roadway. At least one lane will be maintained during construction. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays while driving through the work zone. In addition, ramp closures may be necessary during construction. In the event of a ramp closure, motorists are advised to follow the signed detours.

This work is part of a $13.8 million state funded project that will mill and pave, as well as restripe, approximately four miles of pavement on I-295 in both directions between Route 130/Route 57 in Bordentown, Burlington County to I-195/Route 29 in Hamilton, Mercer County.
