Rosemary Goodwin Walker, age 82, of Titusville, NJ passed away on July 16, 2024.
Rosemary was born in Trenton, NJ. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1959. She received her B.A. from Chestnut Hill College in PA in 1963. She majored in Latin, French and English. She received her M. A. from The College of NJ in 1972.
She taught for three years after she graduated from college. She put her career on hold to raise her son, Thomas. She returned to teaching full time in 1978. Rosemary taught Latin and English at Hopewell Valley Central High School in Pennington, NJ for 25 years. She retired in 2003.
Rosemary worked very hard to build up the Latin program and to motivate her students to be the best they could be. She organized many trips abroad. She traveled with her students to Italy, Greece, France and England. Her students may remember her for the many cookies she baked for them each Christmas season.
She is the daughter of the late Russell J. De Cara and Rose F. Way. Rosemary married Thomas A. Goodwin in 1965 (deceased 1971). She married Walter A. Walker in 1973. She is survived
by her husband, Walter, her son Thomas A. Goodwin, his wife Rhonda Ray Goodwin and two beautiful granddaughters, Lillian Rose Goodwin and Bella Victoria Goodwin.
A funeral service was held at Wilson Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, NJ on July 23, 2024. Burial was at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA. Condolences are welcome at www.wilsonapple.com.
