East Windsor joined with East Windsor-Hightstown Kind on Saturday, Sept. 28 to celebrate and recognize the importance of kindness in “our East Windsor Hightstown community,” Mayor Janice S. Mironov said.
Led this year by East Windsor Regional School District Hightstown High School student Harshil Patel, East Windsor-Hightstown Kind encourages students, residents and businesses to be kind and do acts of kindness throughout the year.
“I am proud of this student-led initiative which aims to foster mutual respect and remind all of us of the importance of spreading kindness not just today, but every day,” Mironov said.
East Windsor-Hightstown Kind had a booth at the RISE Latino Festival on Sept. 28 and featured a collaborative community art mural project.
East Windsor-Hightstown Kind developed two unique Kindness Challenges, one for individuals and one for businesses. These activities encourage residents and businesses to participate in The Great Kindness Challenge, which includes acts to demonstrate being grateful, being gracious, being supportive, being present, being a good neighbor, being earth friendly, being good to yourself, being part of the solution, being attentive and being inclusive.
