A Trenton man was charged with hindering apprehension following a motor vehicle stop for speeding and a maintenance of lamps violation on Bear Tavern Road at Jacobs Creek Road Oct. 5. The front seat passenger got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. When the police officer asked the driver to identify the passenger, he refused and was charged with hindering apprehension.

An incident of attempted fraud/theft involving the purchase of tires at the Sinclair gas station on Route 31 was reported Oct. 5. The suspect attempted to pay for tires valued at $2,000 with a credit card, but it was rejected. The suspect called back several times with different credit card numbers, but they were all rejected. The incident is under investigation.

A Titusville woman was charged with two counts of theft for allegedly stealing political signs from a property on Hansen’s Corner. The signs were moved on one occasion and then stolen on another occasion after they had been put back in place. The incident was reported Oct. 3.

A Rolex duffel bag valued at $895 was reported stolen from a vehicle while it was parked at the Brick Farm Tavern on Hopewell-Rocky Hill Road. The rear passenger side window was smashed to gain entry to the vehicle in the incident, Oct. 3.

A Hopewell Borough man was charged with driving under the influence, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, having an unregistered motor vehicle and reckless driving at 8:56 p.m. Sept. 26 after a police officer stopped to check on a car that was stopped on the side of Aunt Molly Road with its lights on. The man was processed and released.
